Understanding Coat Types and Price

Coat type can vary, even within the same breed. We’ll help confirm the right grooming category based on your dog’s coat length, thickness and condition. Below are samples of coat types:

Short Hair
Lab, Frenchie, Whippet, Boston Terrier, Beagle, Pug, Dachshund (smooth coat), etc.

Long Hair
Bichon Frisé, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Havanese, Cocker Spaniel, etc.

Extra Thick or Dense Coats
Samoyed, Chow Chow, Pomeranian, Newfoundland, Great Pyrenees, Keeshond, Husky, Malamute, and Doodles, etc.

Pick up and drop off

Please arrive on time for your pet’s appointment. Arriving late could be subject to a fee and/or cancellation.

We require at 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and missed appointments are subject to a fee.

Communication - We’ll send you a text with advance notice of your pet’s pick-up time. Please arrange to collect your pet promptly, as pick-ups more than 15 minutes late may be subject to a late fee.

If you arrive at the store before it opens. Please take a moment to shoot us a text and we will open the door for you and your pet.

Ethics of De-Matting

At Dashing Dawgs, we believe in humanity over vanity. Your pet’s comfort and well-being always come first. De-matting can be painful and stressful, so we will never put appearance ahead of their care.

When you arrive, we’ll assess your pet’s coat and discuss your grooming preferences. Together, we’ll choose an approach that balances your desired style with their coat condition and comfort.

Aging / Highly stressed

For some pet’s visiting the groomer can be difficult. We promise we will do our very best to give a little extra TLC for nervous and aging dogs or cats.

In most cases can spend extra time with your pet as needed. Our charges will reflect our service requirement.

For the safety of our team and the pets in our care, we are unable to groom pets that display aggressive behaviour.
